The Ladies' tea was held in London West. Paula, with the Snyder Historical Society presented a program on the theory of the Underground Railroad and the quilt patterns being used as instructions of escape.

This inspired me to challenge each club to gather history of the Grand Ole Tour and bring it to Alpine next year.
For the afternoon of games, we chose to host a poker run.
The final stop was at the National Guard Armory pavilion.

Award Banquet

Marshall Huling's 1911 Ford Model T. He won best of class, Class 1 1st place, and People's Choice. Then Dale and Cathy Dawson presented their personal award for the oldest car registered.

The Amarillo Club, Les Haley, asked Raymond to choose and present their coveted 'Big Kid Award'. It was a difficult decision. Scott Ingram of the Midland club was chosen for his enthusiasm, courtesy, and general love of the old cars. Raymond stated " We must all be big kids because here we are playing together."

Raymond Love, Otha Brown, and John Rogers worked together to make a great tour for us all.

Sam Austin, president of the Midland club, invited everyone to attend the 50th GOT in Alpine in October 2012. More information will be presented on their website. Www.wtraacaclassicmemories.com
